Caroline Casey (Ted Talk 8)

Caroline Casey's ted talk was amazing. After watching it, I learned that there are no limits, just challenges. She described this by explaining the story of how she was blind and didn't know it. Once she found out, she was always the same as before. She thought she was fine, so she was fine. Casey had several speaking techniques that were rather distracting. She used her hand motions constantly. It was annoying because I was focusing more on her hands than what she is saying. She also had presentation techniques. These however, were not distracting. She used a life story to motivate people, which is in my opinion is the best way to motivated people. This video pertains to me because I am very arrow minded. If I am limited from doing something, I give up. What this video showed me, was that every "limit" can be overcome. It is Gods way of challenging people. This video connects to education because it shows that people with disabilities are just as likely to succeed as a regular person. Caroline Casey didn't even know she was legally blind until she was 17, and had already gone through her schooling. This video also connects to the world because everyone should know that there is hope for them. If each person on this planet thought the way that Casey thought, we would be able to work together and accomplish so much more. Caroline Casey's ted talk was my favorite so far. She was inspiring and I really enjoyed it.
